Welcome back to our Character Meet & Greet Guide series as we cross over to the West Coast. We’ve already covered Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, EPCOT World Showcase, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Now it’s time to take a walk through Disneyland Park and see which of our favorite friends can be found in Walt Disney’s original theme park.
Meet Mickey Mouse & Friends (Subject To Change) at Park Opening
While this Meet & Greet opportunity isn’t an officially stated one, you can often find Mickey and one or two of his friends at the top of Main Street, U.S.A. when the park opens. They won’t be stationed there all day, though keep your eyes open when you first enter the park to see who you can find on your way through.
Meet Disney Princesses at Royal Hall & Fantasy Faire
At the Princesses Royal Hall, you can meet up to three of Disney’s regal Princess guests as you make your way through the halls. Different Princesses like to visit with guests here, from Tiana and Rapunzel to Cinderella and Belle; you can find some of your favorites ready to greet you.
Meet Tinker Bell and Friends in Pixie Hollow
Walk through the wandering pathway into Pixie Hallow and become the size of a Pixie yourself. Here you can meet one or two of Disney’s Fairy characters. Tinker Bell will often visit with a friend, like Vidia or Silvermist. Other times, you can find Fairy friends like Rosette and Iridessa waiting to tell you a story of adventure.
Meet With Star Wars Characters at Star Wars Launch Bay
Beware of the dark side when you visit Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland! Some of our favorite Star Wars characters await your arrival for one of the most exciting meet & greet experiences around the park. Meet characters like Darth Vader or Chewbacca as you decide which side you belong to. May the force be with you.
Meet Minnie Mouse at Her Home in Mickey’s Toontown
In the ultimate Minnie Mouse experience, take a stroll through Minnie’s home and see where she spends her time dreaming about Mickey Mouse and planning her next recipe. Through Minnie’s Kitchen, you can visit her outside for all the cuddles you’ve always wanted. Note: Minnie’s appearances are limited, and she may not always be stationed at her home when there are other things to be done around the park.
Meet Mickey Mouse at his home in Mickey’s Toontown
Mickey can appear all over the park at different times, though on some days, you can find him at his home in Mickey’s Toontown. Just like Minnie, Mickey isn’t always available to greet guests at home; as you can imagine, he has many jobs around the park! If he is out on a job, take a look through Mickey’s home and see where he dreams up all his magical adventures.
Other Characters Around the Park
Disney has just released details of Ahsoka coming soon to Batuu in Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, though the character may not have a stationed area and instead be wandering around the region.
We also suspect that as we get closer to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Tiana herself will likely appear more often in New Orleans Square.
While you can find other character appearances throughout the park at different times of the day, those mentioned above are the ones who are stationed in specific areas. For all the latest information about character experiences, visit the official Disneyland website.
