In my family, this month is when we celebrate Christmas in July. It’s a chance to enjoy the holiday festivities in the opposite season to what we have. So here, in Australia, it’s summertime when December 25th rolls around, so we enjoy everything in hot weather. July gives us a chance to have some of that fun in the cooler temperatures of Winter, like all of you in the Northern Hemisphere. Conversely, anyone up there who is celebrating their own Christmas In July gets to do it our way, with a cocktail by the pool.
Over the next few weeks, every Sunday, I will be sharing with you some of my favorite Disney holiday recipes that will be made in my house and might be useful for your own Christmas In July celebrations. Or, maybe just a good excuse to make some tasty Disney treats on the weekends. Either way, it’s going to be yummy. We are going to start things off with a breakfast favorite, Holiday Mickey Waffles!
