‘The Little Mermaid’ Digital Release Date Announced

Online entertainment website Collider.com yesterday announced the release dates for the 2023 live-action reboot of The Little Mermaid, and they are sooner than you think. According to the website, the remake of this 1989 classic animation will be streaming for digital purchase on July 25th. The lengthy film that debuted in cinemas just weeks ago will also be on DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K Ultra HD from September 19th. There is no mention of when it will be released on Disney+.

Extended from the original 83-minute runtime, the new release made headlines as the longest live-action remake to date with a new 135-minute presentation. The film arrived to mixed reviews though the whimsical feel of this underwater musical remained intact, even though a good half an hour too long.

Will you be paying to own a digital copy of this movie, or will you wait for the Disney+ release?
