2019 D23 Expo Major Presentation Schedule Announced

The 2019 D23 Expo will be here before you know it. Disney has just announced when several of the biggest presentations will be happening between August 23 and 25. These headlining presentations take place in the 6,800-seat “Hall D23” in the Anaheim Convention Center. Be prepared those seats will fill up extremely fast.



Below you’ll find the 3-day schedule if the major presentations:

Friday, August 23

Disney Legends Ceremony

At 10:30 a.m. the Expo kicks off with the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony. The ceremony will be hosted by Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger. The Disney Legends Awards Ceremony recognizes “those visionaries and artists who have made significant contributions to the Disney legacy.” This year the recipients are Wing Chao, Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, James Earl Jones, Bette Midler, Kenny Ortega, Barnette Ricci, Robin Roberts, Diane Sawyer, Ming-Na Wen, and Hans Zimmer. Typically Disney has a couple of surprise Disney Legend inductees, so stay tuned on August 23 because there might be another big name or two.



Disney+ Presentation

At 3:30 p.m. guests will get a first look at some of the content coming out of the brand-new Disney+ streaming service. Sneak peeks of the reimagined Lady and the Tramp, The Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and more will be shown to guests of the presentation.

Saturday, August 24

The Walt Disney Studios Presentation



At previous D23 Expo’s there was a live-action presentation and an animation presentation, but it seems at the 2019 expo it’ll simply be The Walt Disney Studios presentation, which will encompass both the upcoming live-action and animated films. This presentation features exclusive footage and special guest appearances. The Walt Disney Studios presentation will take place at 10 a.m.

Sunday, August 25

Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Presentation



At 10:30 a.m. the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products presentation will kick off. Chairman Bob Chapek will be sharing what exciting plans are in store for the theme parks around the globe. Disney also specifically noted to stay tuned for “the transformational plans for Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.”
