A Busy February Moves Orlando International Airport Up the List in Latest Airport Rankings

Based on the most recent numbers from the Airports Council International, Orlando International Airport (MCO) has moved up in the state, national, and worldwide rankings in the passenger traffic category.

The latest rankings from February 2018 show that Orlando International is now the number one airport for passenger traffic in the state of Florida, up from number two.

In the United States, the airport has moved up from number 13 to number 11. Globally, Orlando International moved up two spots to number 39.

For the rolling-12 months that ended in February, Orlando International Airport’s passenger traffic exceeded 45 million, up 7.28 percent from the previous year’s record breaking numbers.

MCO spokesperson Carolyn Fennell attributed the growth in February to “a strong Spring Break and Bike Week season.”
