Tangaroa Terrace reopened this week as Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill, with a new bar area, a Dole Whip pick-up window, and a brand new menu! The popular quick serve restaurant at the Disneyland Hotel is located between the pool and the Adventure Tower, next door to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar.
The updated space, inspired by Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, includes a tropical mural (complete with hidden tiki room birds), bamboo accents, stone countertops, and glass fish net float lights. The expanded patio, overlooking the pool, features brightly colored rattan lounge chairs, tiki bar stools, and large tables.
Outside, there’s a new window where you can grab a Dole Whip or Dole Whip Float to enjoy out by the pool. With the new bar nearby, you can add a splash of rum to that Dole Whip Float or enjoy one of the new island cocktails.
Back inside, the menu is almost completely new!
Breakfast, which is served until 11am, features a Acai Chia Breakfast Bowl [$8.00] with fruit and granola, a Breakfast Sandwich [$13.00] with kalua-style pulled pork and a fried egg, Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes [$10.00], and Tangaroa Toast [$10.00]. This signature dish comes coated in cinnamon sugar and topped with bananas foster, whipped cream, bananas, and toasted coconut.
If you’re looking for something to share at lunch or dinner, grab the new Kalua-style Poutine [$12.00] with crinkle fries and pulled pork, the guest favorite Panko-cursted Long Beans [$10.00], the Pork Gyoza [$10.00] pot stickers, or the new Shipwreck Nachos [$14.00] topped with kalua-style pork and pineapple salsa.
The updated Pu Pu Platter [$17.00] features the Pork Gyoza, Panko-crusted Long Beans, Chili Garlic Edamame, and Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken Wings!
As with the other items in the Pu Pu Platter, the Chili Garlic Edamame [$9.00] are also available on their own. You might want to pair them with the island-inspired Fried Spam Musbui, which is served with teriyaki sauce.
For something lighter, try the Lentil Garden Bowl [$11.00] with brown rice and a coconut curry or the Tangaroa Salad [$13.00] with sauteed shrimp.
For something more filling, the Angus 1/3 lb. Hawaiian Cheeseburger [$15.00] is back, topped with grilled pineapple, applewood-smoked bacon, havarti cheese, togarashi aioli, and teriyaki sauce.
Younger guests have a new menu too!
For breakfast, grab a kid’s-sized serving of Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes [$7.50] or special Mickey-shaped Tangaroa Toast!
Lunch and dinner favorites include a Grilled Salmon Bowl [$10.00], Kid’s Cheeseburger [$10.00], and Chicken Breast Nuggets [$7.50].
Also, with reopening comes the addition of Mobile Order at Tangaroa Terrace, which will let you get those tasty long beans without having to wait in line.
