New characters will soon make their Disneyland Resort debut! Meilin Lee and her mother, Ming Lee, from Disney and Pixar’s Turning Red, will appear at Disney California Adventure Park during the Lunar New Year celebration set to take place from January 23 to February 18, 2024.
The mom and daughter duo love to observe Chinese traditions together, and as shown in the artist’s concept above, 13-year-old Meilin is so excited! Guests can expect to find Meilin beginning to turn into her Red Panda form at the pathway between Grizzly Peak and Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure Park.
An homage to Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean customs, the limited-time Lunar New Year celebration rings in the Year of the Dragon with Asian-inspired food and beverages, vibrant décor, special character appearances, and Mushu leading the way in “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession.”
