D23: The Official Disney Fan Club Announces 2020 Events, Including Destination D

D23: The Official Disney Fan Club has announced most of their 2020 slate of events, including Destination D and other returning favorites.

D23 offers several membership levels, including a free General Membership, Gold Membership for $99.99, or Gold Family Membership for $129.99.

D23 Destination D: Fantastic Worlds

November 20-22, 2020

Walt Disney World Resort will once again host the Destination D event, which this time around focuses on Disney’s magical places, “from the extraordinary to the fantastical.”

2020 is also the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney Archives, so the team is putting together a new exhibit honoring 50 iconic treasures.

Mickey’s of Glendale will once again have a pop-up show with exclusive items from Walt Disney Imagineering.

D23 Celebrates 50 Years of The Walt Disney Archives

Starting March 4, 2020

The Bowers Museum in Santa Ana will host Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving the Magic beginning March 4th with a special preview for D23 Members. In addition, on June 22nd, which is the anniversary of the found of the Archives, D23 will host a birthday party at the Museum.

Continuing the celebration, D23 will host two exclusive D23 Behind-the-Scenes Experiences: A Day at the Studio Lot, which will show what goes on every day at the Archives.

Walt’s Marceline

D23 Members will have a chance to explore the Walt Disney Hometown Museum in Marceline, Missouri, where Walt Disney spent his early childhood. Members will also enjoy treats and mingle with special guests during this day-long event.

Magical Screenings

This year, D23 will take their movie screenings on the road! Look for events, not only at The Walt Disney Studios Lot and Disney Springs, but also at select cities around the country. Featured movies celebrating milestones this year include The Three Caballeros, A Goofy Movie, Pocahontas, The Emperor’s New Groove, and The Aristocats.

The Official Walt Disney Studio Tour

D23 will host even more tours of the historic Studio lot throughout the year, where members can get a look inside the Walt Disney Archives and see Walt Disney’s office suite.

New Movie Screenings

D23 will continue its partnership with The Walt Disney Studios to offer advanced screening of new movies at locations throughout the country.

Signature Events

Other upcoming D23 event including a visit to the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, Sip & Stroll at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, and D23 Member days at Mickey’s of Glendale.

Also look for a new Halloween event and Light Up The Season with D23 at The Walt Disney Studios during the holiday, plus a special event at Walt Disney World next December.

Special events will also take place at The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco.
