Deputies arrest man trying to bring a gun into the Magic Kingdom

Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested a man yesterday for trying to bring a gun into the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

Kevin Webb, 42, acknowledged he was carrying a firearm when he was asked to walk through a metal detector outside the park’s main entrance, but told the Walt Disney World security guards and the sheriff’s deputies that he was a police officer.

When questioned further, Webb said that he was retired, but was allowed to carry his firearm for five years after retirement.

After a call to the Sherwood Police Department in Arkansas, deputies discovered that Webb had not been employed for several years and had been fired.  He had not retired from the department.

Webb was booked on charges of impersonating an officer and carrying a concealed firearm.
