Disney announces two new holiday packages for large groups

Walt Disney World has announced two new holiday event packages that are designed for large groups – anywhere from 20-200 people. These are available from December 2-29 and include a themed party and specially designed menus.

The Winter Wonderland Escape package takes place at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Convention Center and can accommodate group sizes from 20-200. The ballroom will be transformed to a snowy forest with snow-capped evergreens and large snowflakes. The experience is customizable, but menus include such choices as Herb Panko-Crusted North Atlantic Cod, Turkey Meatballs tossed with Maple-Granny Smith Apple Gastrique, and Chocolate Peppermint Cheesecake. Lunch and dinner options are available.

The Holiday Memories package at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Convention Center is for groups of 20-80 people. Red, green, and gold tables will be covered with ornaments and candles. The walls will be adorned with projections of holiday gifts, candy canes, and holly. Lunch and dinner are both available and offer choices of Carved Maple-Glazed Turkey with Thyme Jus, Mama’s Pot Roast with Pan Gravy, and a variety of desserts.

Pricing for either of these packages starts at $45 per person for lunch and $70 per person for dinner. If desired, the group can add on Disney chefs manning culinary action stations, carolers or a string trio, or even a visit from Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

Leah grew up in a little farming town in Illinois, right on the Mississippi River. Her Chicago-born husband, David, left the city for her, and they're now raising their three children (Jacob, Jonah and Lydia) just 12 miles from her hometown. As the Senior Editor of the DIS (wdwinfo.com), Leah spends a lot of time writing about, reading about, and discussing Disney. So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
