The film that started the track toward the record is Captain America: Civil War from Marvel Studios. Released in May, it made $1.15 billion in the global box office. The rest of the lineup is Zootopia ($1.023 billion), Finding Dory ($1.022 billion), and The Jungle Book ($966 million).
