Disney Partners with CineMedia to Bring Behind-the-Scenes Content to the Big Screen

You may be familiar with the FirstLook show that typically runs before upcoming trailers at many movie theatres. Take a look at this quick preview if you don’t know what I’m referring to.

We’ve just learned that Noovie will take the place of FirstLook beginning in its launch tomorrow, September 29, 2017.

“National CineMedia is owned partially by theater chains AMC Entertainment, Regal Entertainment Group and Cinemark, thus Noovie will be shown on 20,700 screens in 1,700 U.S. theaters beginning Friday.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Disney will provide exclusive content to Noovie including behind-the-scenes looks at Coco, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Black Panther, A Wrinkle in Time, Avengers: Infinity War, The Incredibles 2 and the still-untitled Han Solo movie.

Noovie videos will reportedly be around 20-minutes long including commercials with the best content being mostly toward the beginning.

“Disney’s deal [with CineMedia] calls for it to supply content to a portion of Noovie called Noovie Backlot, which is about a five-minute portion of the 20-minute video.”
