Disney PhotoPass Day planned for August 19

Disney has declared August 19 “Disney PhotoPass Day”. At both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, PhotoPass photographers will offer new experiences for the guests.

At the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, there will be special character experiences around the parks. In Magic Kingdom’s Storybook Circus, guests will be able to meet Pinocchio, Gideon, and Foulfellow from 9:00am-4:00pm.

At Epcot, several of the characters in World Showcase will be joined by a friend or foe. Meet Mushu and Mulan in the China Pavilion, Snow White and Dopey in the Germany Pavilion, and Alice and the Queen of Hearts in the United Kingdom Pavilion. Schedules for these characters can be found in the daily Times Guide or on My Disney Experience.

All guests at the Disney theme parks and Disney Springs will be able to get a free PhotoPass photo on that day. There will be one location at each park with a PhotoPass photographer where guests can get their photo taken and then have the ability to download it from My Disney Experience and share it at no charge. A list of participating locations will be shared on the Disney PhotoPass Facebook page.

A Disney PhotoPass Challenge will be taking place as well. If you get your photo taken at all of the special locations, you can visit a Disney PhotoPass Sales Center to receive a free PhotoPass photo (at Walt Disney World, you will get a voucher for a free download; at Disneyland, you will get a 5×7 print of a photo).

Leah grew up in a little farming town in Illinois, right on the Mississippi River. Her Chicago-born husband, David, left the city for her, and they're now raising their three children (Jacob, Jonah and Lydia) just 12 miles from her hometown. As the Senior Editor of the DIS (wdwinfo.com), Leah spends a lot of time writing about, reading about, and discussing Disney. So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
