Disney posts signs banning selfie sticks on attractions

Last month, Walt Disney World asked their employees to begin enforcing a “no selfie stick usage on attractions” policy. There has always been a policy that items aren’t allowed over the sides of ride vehicles, but cast members were to ask guests to stow the selfie sticks if they were seen with one. The policy is now getting stricter. A sign has been posted at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at the Magic Kingdom that says “No Selfie Sticks.” The devices can still be brought on the attractions, but they must be closed and put away securely.

Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland also have signs posted that ban the sticks.
