Yes, you read that right. Say goodbye to the old cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Disney has just announced that the existing individual cabins will be replaced with new refreshed versions to become the next Disney Vacation Club property at Walt Disney World.
The design of the 350+ new cabins has been described as a “refreshed hideaway” and will be built using the existing cabins’ footprint instead of developing additional land for the project.
Each stand-alone cabin will still offer spacious accommodations, sleeping up to six adults with a bedroom, bathroom, living room, full kitchen, and private patio. Guests should expect them to feel very similar in layout but refreshed. A select number of cabins are also expected to be dog-friendly.
Design concepts offer a fresh take on the current cabin experience and are inspired by the resort’s idyllic setting, while also paying homage to the resort’s unique culture and heritage through the magic of Disney storytelling.Disney

As with all Disney Vacation Club properties, reservations will be available for all guests, not just DVC members. Additional details on the project, including the start of sales and reservations, will be released later.
