Disney Vacation Club has announced some of the 2017 offerings for their members. 2016 was the 25th anniversary for the group, which celebrated with the theme “25 years and BEYOND”. Several of the “Membership Extras” from this celebration have been extended into this year as “Membership Magic Ever After.”
The Member Lounge at Epcot will remain in place. The space above the Imagination! Pavilion offers members beverages, charging ports, and a cool place to relax. The 20% merchandise discount will also continue to be offered, up from the previous 10% discount. Dining discounts will also continue to be available, as well as waiving of the $95 RCI transaction fee for 2017.
New in 2017 include the first Eastern Caribbean Member Cruise (already sold out), a new resort (Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge), and an expansion of their personalized vacation planning service. The Disney Parks Blog describes this service as allowing “Members to modify a reservation by speaking to the very Member Services Advisor who helped make that reservation in the first place.”
Disney Vacation Club will also continue to hold member-only events throughout the year.

Leah grew up in a little farming town in Illinois, right on the Mississippi River. Her Chicago-born husband, David, left the city for her, and they're now raising their three children (Jacob, Jonah and Lydia) just 12 miles from her hometown. As the Senior Editor of the DIS (wdwinfo.com), Leah spends a lot of time writing about, reading about, and discussing Disney. So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
