The Walt Disney Company is expanding their global theme park footprint with plans for a new theme park and resort along Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Disney has partnered with Miral, Abu Dhabiās leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences, marking Disney’s seventh theme park destination, and the first in the Middle East.
The waterfront resort will be a world-class destination for entertainment and leisure, connecting travelers from the Middle East and Africa, India, Asia, Europe, and beyond; combining Disney’s iconic stories, characters, and attractions with Abu Dhabiās vibrant culture, stunning shorelines, and breathtaking architecture.

The new resort will be fully developed, built and operated by Miral, while Disney and its Imagineers will lead creative design and operational oversight.

Upon completion, the new theme park resort will offer signature Disney entertainment, themed accommodations, unique dining and retail experiences, and storytelling in a way that celebrates both the heritage of Disney and the futuristic and cultural essence of Abu Dhabi.
An opening timeline was not announced, but D’Amaro says he will have a lot more to share soon.
