All new Magic Key Pass sales have been halted effective immediately at the Disneyland Resort. As we’ve experienced, this has been happening periodically since the pandemic. It’s essential to check the official Disneyland app regularly if you’re planning to purchase a new pass. We recommend that you finalize your Magic Key purchase as soon as you make the decision to buy one, as there is typically no warning when sales get paused. Disneyland’s official statement is below.
Please note that we have paused new sales of Magic Key passes. The Magic Key program provides reservation-based admission to one or both Disneyland Resort theme parks. At this time, current Magic Key holders may have the opportunity during their renewal window (currently up to 30 days prior to the pass expiration date) to renew into a pass made available within the program. The quantity of passes and pass types available for renewal may be limited. Passes or a pass type may be unavailable from time to time or at any given time or available only for renewal.
One of our readers shared that he was the last person to purchase Magic Key on the day sales were suspended!
I’m actually the person who ended up buying the very last set of three Magic Key Holder passes! When I got them, the ticket booth staff told me, ‘Looks like you got the very last set.’ I couldn’t believe it! I was both shocked and thrilled! I had planned to wait a few more days to buy them as a birthday surprise for my wife, my mother, and for myself, but something told me to head to the park that day. I’M SO GLAD I DID!
