Disneyland to Switch Autopia Vehicles From Gas to Electric

According to a report in the LA Times, the vehicles in the Autopia attraction at Disneyland Resort will have their all-gas engines converted to electric over the next few years. Disneyland told the LA Times that they’ve “developed a roadmap to electrify this attraction and are evaluating technology” that will make this possible.

One of the biggest complaints about this opening-day attraction has been the smell of gas in the surrounding area. Obviously, this would rectify that issue while moving toward an alternative fuel source that’s so much better for the environment.

Disney did not confirm whether this move means the attraction will get electric vehicles or if hybrids are a possibility.
