The DIS has received word from a guest at Disney’s Contemporary Resort that the entire resort is being evacuated due to a fire alarm at Chef Mickey’s.
We will continue to follow this story as it develops.
@WaltDisneyWorld what is happening at the Contemporary Resort? We were just evacuated by fire alarm. I’m outside with kids. My husband and in laws are still inside with a bunch of others and not being allowed out. Some information would be welcome

7:55pm – Guests at the Magic Kingdom monorail station are being told that elevators in the Contemporary are not working, so they should take a bus or walk to the resort. Boat service, however, has resumed.
8:01pm – Monorails are traveling to the Contemporary. Things are returning to normal. Fantasia shop is still closed, however.
