Disney’s ‘Frozen: The Broadway Musical’ Receives Three Tony Nominations

Disney’s Broadway production of Frozen opened at the legendary St. James Theatre in New York City back on March 22 and has been incredibly successful setting box office records. The show features twice as much music as the film including twelve new songs.

Disney Theatrical Productions announced today that the Broadway show has been nominated in three categories for the 2018 Tony Awards!



First, in the category of “Best Musical.”

The next nomination was for “Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre” with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Lastly, Jennifer Lee for “Best Book of a Musical.”



The 2018 Tony Awards, hosted by Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban, will air live from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall June 10 on CBS at 8 p.m. Eastern.
