Twitter will live-stream new “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” footage

This Friday, December 2nd at 1 p.m EST/10 a.m. PST, Disney, People magazine and Twitter will team up to live-stream previously unreleased footage from the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. After the footage is streamed, a special Q&A will take place with director Gareth Edwards and cast members.

The stream will be broadcast from “a surprise location,” which is intriguing to say the least. To find the stream, look no further than, in Twitter Moments, and via @StarWars and @people accounts, as well as on Twitter apps for Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Xbox, according to Variety. If you still can’t find it, then just get on your Twitter feed and find the live-stream from one of the hundreds of people you follow that will retweet it.

Cast members that will appear on the stream include Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Riz Ahmed. Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm president and the film producer, will also be part of the live discussion.

If you have a question that you’d like to submit as part of the Q&A, tweet it out using the hashtag #AskRogueOne. If you’re feeling like tweeting about the event, use the hashtags #RogueOne, #DeathStar, #StarWars and #StarWarsRogueOne to see Star Wars Twitter emojis appear!

If you prefer print over these newfangled live moving pictures, you can pick up a special edition of People magazine on November 30 called “Star Wars: The Secrets of Rogue One,” which will include a virtual-reality bonus pack with goggles and an original special on the film.
