If you’ve ever trained for a race with a friend, you already know the theme of the 2026 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend: everything is better when you do it together.
Taking place April 16–20, 2026, at Walt Disney World Resort, this race weekend is built around iconic Disney duos and the kind of encouragement that gets you through early wake-ups, long miles, and that final push to the finish line.

This year’s races lean hard into that idea. The 5K pairs runners with Zootopia‘s Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde for a fast, fun start to the weekend. The 10K slows things down just enough with Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, while the 10-Miler brings the feelings with Joy and Sadness from Inside Out leading the way. If you’re tackling all three races as part of the 19.3-mile challenge, Aladdin and Genie are there to celebrate the whole journey.

Each race comes with its own medal, and they’re bright, bold, and full of personality. Judy and Nick bring energy to the 5K. Pooh and Tigger feel warm and nostalgic. Joy and Sadness strike that perfect Pixar balance. And the challenge medal ties it all together with a little extra flair.

Before the weekend wraps up, runners can also take part in an early morning yoga session at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a calm, communal way to stretch things out before heading home.
Registration is open now, and as always, spots won’t last long. Whether you’re running with a friend, meeting up with your runDisney crew, or just leaning on the energy of everyone around you, Springtime Surprise is shaping up to be one of those weekends that sticks with you.
And honestly? That feels pretty on theme.
