Disney has shared that the ‘Imagineering: Behind the Dreams’ pavilion at the 2024 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is truly one-of-a-kind unlike anything before. When guests step into this space on the show floor, they’ll get a view behind the curtain similar to the one they’ve been able to enjoy with Disney’s YouTube series, We Call It Imagineering.
When this venue was set up, it was divided into four spaces – Invent, Build, Entertain, and Design – showcasing Disney’s creative process to give guests a full Imagineering experience.
Disney says that on Sunday, the pavilion will offer an up-close look at the future projects that were revealed during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase Saturday night. How exciting!
Using new technologies developed by Disney Research and Walt Disney Imagineering, BDX Droids will interact with guests in this pavilion, too. These free-roaming robotic characters are highly expressive and “impossibly cute.”
Guests will also be able to see how Disney Live Entertainment Costuming designs and creates custom-made attire for Disney shows, parades, and much more, including the steps that went into creating Mickey Mouse’s new Halloween outfit which he’ll be wearing at Disneyland this year.
When World of Frozen, inspired by Disney Animation’s Frozen opens at Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney Studios Park will receive a brand-new name, Disney Adventure World. Guests can get a closer look at the expansion and reimagining of Disneyland Paris’s second park with a detailed model of Disney Adventure World. This expansion will almost double the park’s footprint while transforming it into a world of adventure.
