Former House of Blues Anaheim building to be torn down

The former home of the House of Blues in Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort is now set for demolition.

House of Blues closed in May to begin a move to nearby GardenWalk.  There have been no plans announced as to what is replacing the House of Blues, but plans were filed recently with the City of Anaheim that indicate the 17,339 square foot building and its patio will be removed entirely.

The new House of Blues location in GardenWalk was originally set to open this summer, but the opening had been bumped to fall 2016.  A recent Facebook post by the House of Blues shows that the opening has been moved once again to early 2017.

The new location at GardenWalk will include a 2,000-seat concert hall and a 400-seat venue, plus a larger restaurant and kitchen.
