This weekend, Frozen 2 passed the $1 billion total globally, making it the sixth Disney film of the year to hit that mark, a record for a studio.
The sequel has made $366.5 million domestically and $666 million overseas, for a total so far of $1.032 billion. The original Frozen made $1.28 billion back in 2013.
Frozen 2 is the eight film (from any studio) to reach $1 billion in 2019, which is also a record.
Directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, Frozen 2 has the fan-favorite characters on a journey that takes them beyond their homeland of Arendelle.
