If you needed another excuse to start celebrating spooky season early, Gideon’s Bakehouse just gave you one. The Disney Springs (and East End Market) favorite is going all-in on “Halfway to Halloween” this May, and it’s not just a quick nod. It’s a full month of new desserts, returning favorites, limited merch, and a few surprises that feel very on-brand for Gideon’s.
Let’s start with the big one. There’s a brand-new cookie on the menu, and it sounds like a heavy hitter. The Blueberry Lemonade Cookie is nearly half a pound and built around a sweet blueberry-lemon base, topped with yogurt mini chips, agave crunch, and a bright blueberry sugar finish. It’s available every day in May at both locations, with a limit of two per person.

Of course, Gideon’s didn’t stop at cookies. There’s a matching Blueberry Lemonade Cake joining the lineup, and this one leans into those same flavors in a big way. It’s a lemon curd swirl cake layered with blueberry jam and graham cracker crumble, finished with a bold blueberry buttercream. It’s also made without artificial coloring, which is a nice touch. Cake slices will be available on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the month.

On the drink side, the Salted Caramel Cold Brew is the limited offering for May. It’s locally roasted, vegan, and gluten-free, which makes it one of the more accessible options on the menu if you’re skipping the sweets or just want something to balance them out.
Then there’s the merch. Because it wouldn’t be a Gideon’s event without a little chaos at 10 a.m. on a Friday.
New items include a glow-in-the-dark Halfway to Halloween pin, a large Barnabas gallery print, a wood box print, and a black and rose gargoyle coin. Some are available in-store and online, while others are online-only, so it’s worth checking ahead if you’ve got your eye on something specific.

Gideon’s is also introducing something called “Last Rites,” which is exactly as ominous as it sounds. It’s a small batch of retired merch that was held back for replacements and is now being released one last time. That includes a limited number of the popular Gideon’s x Loungefly Gargoyle Backpack and a hand-painted Gargoyle Head Magnet. Once these are gone, that’s it.

All of this kicked off at 10 a.m. EST, both online and in-store, where applicable. And if Gideon’s track record tells us anything, the most popular items won’t last long.
May is shaping up to be a very good month to swing by Disney Springs with a sweet tooth and maybe a little patience.
