If you’re heading out to Aulani, Disney’s beautiful Hawaiian resort on the island of Oahu, there are many spooky activities along with some seasonal favorite treats that guests can look forward to.
The activities are complimentary except where noted.
Halloween Aulani Style (Oct. 24, 31): Hālāwai Lawn will transform into a frightfully fun party for the entire family. Adults and keiki staying at Aulani Resort are encouraged to dress up for a spirited monster bash. Craft activities, game stations, tattoos, family games and dance party with Disney friends are all included as part of the evening’s festivities.
Aulani Resort Trick-or-Treating (Oct. 31): No Halloween celebration would be complete without trick or treating! Little keiki can visit various trick-or-treat locations across the Aulani “neighborhood” to receive candy and other surprises.
Keiki Pumpkin Decorating (Oct. 6-31): Little ones can pick their own mini foam pumpkin from the Pau Hana Pumpkin Patch and enjoy no-carve decorating. All crafting tools and decorating supplies will be provided.
Disney Friends (Oct. 6-31): Throughout the month, some of your favorite Disney friends — including Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Duffy, Shellie May, Pluto and Stitch — will appear in their best Halloween costumes for photos and character greetings.
‘Ohana Disney Halloween Movie Nights (Oct. 14, 17, 21, 28): Join us on the Hālāwai Lawn to watch family-friendly Halloween films under the stars. Be sure to check the Daily ‘Iwa for a listing of movies, dates and times.
‘Ohana Disney Pumpkin Carving (Oct. 29, 30): Families are invited to choose their pumpkin and carve their unique creations. Sculpted “monster-pieces” will be placed on display in the Pau Hana Room for resort guests to view and cast their votes. Each participating family will receive:
- A photo opportunity with a Disney Character in their Halloween costume
- A pumpkin of their choice from the Pau Hana Pumpkin Patch
- A carving tool and stencil kit
- A glow stick and tea candle to make your jack o’ lantern shine
Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded during the Halloween Dance Party on October 31.
Price: $60 plus tax per pumpkin
Halloween Cookie Decorating (Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30): In this fun, hands-on class, you’ll learn different cookie decorating techniques and create fun Disney themed Halloween cookies. Each participating guest will receive a Halloween Cookie Decorating Set which includes:
- Colored icings and pastry bags
- Variety of sprinkles and candies
- 5 baked sugar cookies in a variety of Halloween shapes
- Decorating reference guide for simple designs
- Container for easy transport after the event
Price: $25 plus18% gratuity and 4.71% tax
Due to space limitations, reservations are required.
Halloween Fun at Aunty’s Beach House* (Oct. 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26): Keiki will have spook-tacular fun at this Halloween party full of festive games and ghoulish crafts at Aunty’s Beach House exclusively for kids. Keiki can show off their favorite costume alongside their favorite Disney friends.
Glow in the Dark Kapala Ki’i (October 6 – 31, 2019): Create your own design on a T-shirt, using kapa-inspired stamps and different colored fabric paint. Make your shirt Halloween ready with glow paint. Guests can sign up at the Pau Hana room.
Price: $12 or $15 plus tax per T-shirt
The Pumpkin Spice Dole Whip has returned and is now available through December in Ulu Cafe.
