SECOND UPDATE / CLARIFICATION: We received more detailed information regarding the live stream that will be happening in the Fortnite game on Saturday night from the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase. Take a look below for more.
- On Aug. 10 starting at 7:30 pm PT, Fortnite players will be able to jump in to the ‘Disney Horizons Live from D23’ Island to experience a special live-streamed segment of the show focused on exciting reveals for Disney & Fortnite, which will start at approximately 8:30 PM PT.
- The ‘Disney Horizon Live from D23’ Island is an immersive experience and social watch party for Disney & Fortnite reveals where players can interact with the livestream through cheers, play mini games, and trigger other visual spectacles.
- Players will be able to join the island in Fortnite by navigating to the in-game ‘Discover’ tab or by using island code 7908-6413-2516.
- For fans who can’t tune in live, or who just want to rewatchthe special live streamed segment, ‘Disney Horizons Live from D23’ will be around until August 16, with the presentation on loop.
- To celebrate the announcements, all players who visit the island for 10 minutes will be granted the Peelverine Plush Back Bling* cosmetic accessory for their Fortnite avatar plus additional in-game XP on August 16!

UPDATE: The following post was sent out Thursday afternoon clarifying that the livestream in Fortnite would only include a “special segment” of the Disney Experiences Showcase, rather than the entire presentation.
In years past, the big theme parks panels that have taken place at the D23 Expo / The Ultimate Disney Fan Event have been live-streamed for Disney fans at home. We hadn’t seen or heard a peep about live-streaming happening for the 2024 event; until today.
For those of you who have heard of Fortnite, you’ll be happy to know that the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase will be “livestreamed” exclusively in Fortnite.
Disney Horizons Live from D23 will be accessible starting on August 10 at 7:30 PM PT / 10:30 PM ET, and the stream will begin shortly after at 8:30 PM PT / 11:30 PM ET. You’ll be able to join the island from the Homebar in Discover (the top row) or by using island code 7908-6413-2516.

Fortnite
The interesting part about this “livestream” is that it starts an hour and a half after the live presentation begins (at 7:00 pm PT) in the Honda Center. So, yes it will be streamed, but it’s not technically going to be broadcast live.
Fortnite says the presentation will be on loop until “about August 16.”
