Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Joins Disney World Gateway Hotel Collection

A well-known Orlando-area resort just got a little closer to Disney in a big way.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress has officially been designated a Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel, giving guests the option to book their stay as part of a full Walt Disney World vacation package.

That might not sound like a huge shift at first glance, but it actually makes a difference for travelers who prefer to bundle everything together in one place.

With this new designation, guests staying at the resort can now book their hotel, theme park tickets, and overall vacation package just as they would book an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel. It essentially puts the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress into the same planning ecosystem as Disney’s official hotel partners.

This hotel is minutes from Walt Disney World, which makes it a popular off-site option. Now, with the Gateway Hotel status, it is a more integrated option for guests seeking Disney planning convenience without staying on Disney-owned property.

Guests at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress also have access to complimentary shuttle service to key Walt Disney World locations, including the Transportation and Ticket Center (with connecting transportation to Magic Kingdom), EPCOT, and Disney Springs, with connections available to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

From Disney’s side, the partnership reflects a continued push to expand vacation planning options for guests.

Beyond its Disney connection, the resort itself offers a wide range of amenities. Highlights include a massive lagoon-style pool with waterfalls and a waterslide, a private lake with watersports, walking trails, and multiple dining locations, including the Michelin-recommended Four Flamingos restaurant from chef Richard Blais.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress has received noteworthy recognition in recent rankings in Orlando in both the 2025 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards and the U.S. News & World Report.

For guests who like the idea of staying close to Walt Disney World while still enjoying a full resort experience, this new designation gives Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress a little more flexibility when planning your Disney vacation.
