Premiere France revealed that while it isn’t Lucasfilm’s top priority, a Lando Calrissian film is something the studio may produce. At the Cannes Film Festival, president of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy said, “We would love to tell a story about Lando Calrissian one day, but it’s not relevant, it would be fun to (continue) the story of Han and Chewie.”
Donald Glover will play Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, but currently there is no word on whether the actor is signed on for future films.
When this story originally broke, Premiere France published the story with a slight mistranslation in which they thought Kathleen Kennedy said a Lando Calrissian film would be the next spin-off film from the studio.
Solo: A Star Wars Story will be in theaters on May 25.
