Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond – the all-new retail shop next to the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square – opens today in Disneyland Park! Inside, guests can shop for spooky gifts inspired by The Haunted Mansion and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The repurposed Mansion carriage house is adorned with eclectic decor, including a crystal ball, a fainting couch, and the original parlor chandelier used by Leota in her séances. Musical instruments are scattered throughout, evoking the Haunted Mansion’s séance room with its floating instruments. Fans may spot a familiar bat lamp from the former Le Bat En Rouge shop in New Orleans Square. Above it all hangs a portrait honoring Disney Imagineer Leota Toombs Thomas, whose likeness brought Madame Leota to life. Take a look at these new images of the store’s interior decor!
Just in time for last-minute holiday shopping, the store is now open and will continue to evolve, with more decorative touches and enhancements coming soon.
