Magic Shots in Galaxy’s Edge End EARLY on Star Wars Day

If you’re heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May the 4th, there’s a small but important detail you’ll want to know before you walk into Batuu.

Disney PhotoPass is rolling out a full lineup of Star Wars Magic Shots inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and they’re packed with some of the most fun effects we’ve seen in a while. Think Grogu using the Force, a Porg perched nearby, or even a hologram-style surprise popping into your photo.

Here’s the catch. On May 4th only, these Magic Shots are scheduled to wrap up early at 4 p.m.

After that, they’ll still be available beyond Star Wars Day, but if you want them on the actual date, you’ll need to plan around that cutoff.

The Grogu Force shot is the one most people are going to chase. You’ll find it in several high-traffic spots, including near the Millennium Falcon, around the X-Wing and A-Wing, and even by Droid Depot. It places Grogu right into your scene, mid-Force moment, which really looks great in the previews Disney shared.

There’s also a Grogu Cookie version, which swaps the Force moment for something a little more playful. Fewer locations offer this one, so you’ll want to ask a photographer directly rather than wander and hope.

The Chopper Magic Shot is showing up in most areas across Batuu, while the Holopuck effect is a bit more of a wildcard. Disney says it’s available in several spots, but your best move is to ask your PhotoPass photographer what they can do right there.

And then there’s the Porg. This one’s scattered across a handful of locations and is probably the easiest to grab if you’re short on time.

These are easy wins if you’re already planning to be in Galaxy’s Edge. Just don’t wait until late afternoon on May 4 or you’ll miss your window.

Grab them early, then go back to your blue milk and lightsaber shopping.
