More ‘Incredibles 3’ and ‘Coco 2’ Details Announced at D23

Pete Docter, Pixar Chief Creative Officer, joined the D23 stage for the Entertainment Showcase to give more details about two highly anticipated Pixar sequels – Incredibles 3 and Coco 2.

The previously announced, Incredibles 3 will officially come to theaters on June 16, 2028. The new film will focus on the children of the Parr family as they navigate a new world of superheroes being legal again. Dash is out to prove himself as a super in a new superhero league – SHL. A new villain was also teased and Edna Mode will return for the third movie.

Coco 2 will come to theaters the following year in 2029, bringing back Miguel and other familiar faces from the first film. Most surprising, Ernesto de la Cruz, will return for revenge and Miguel will have to face him again in the after life. Pixar showed a sketch of Miguel looking grown-up from the last film. It seems Coco 2 will take place when Miguel is a teenager.
