If you’re visiting Walt Disney World over the next few weeks and love adding a little extra Disney magic to your vacation photos, you’ll want to keep an eye out for some brand-new Moana-themed Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots.
From now until July 31, guests can enjoy special photo opportunities at Walt Disney World. These limited-time options feature fun special effects inspired by Disney’s adventurous wayfinder. Guests can pose with the glowing Heart of Te Fiti and the mischievous Kakamora, among other fun choices.
One of the standout Magic Shots features the Heart of Te Fiti, which appears in your photo after it’s taken. Guests can find this effect at Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana in EPCOT or near Discovery River, between Africa and Asia, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
If the lovable Kakamora are more your style, you’ll have several chances to snap a photo with the tiny coconut-clad pirates. This Magic Shot is available on the bridge leading from Cinderella Castle into Adventureland at Magic Kingdom, near Creations Shop in EPCOT, in two locations around Discovery Island at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Disney PhotoPass has also added a Moana’s Oar Magic Shot, giving guests the chance to pose with the iconic paddle from the film. You’ll find this photo opportunity in Discovery Island at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, just off to the right side of the Tree of Life.
One thing I always appreciate about Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots is that they don’t take much extra time, but they make for some of the most memorable vacation photos. It’s fun seeing the finished image pop up in the My Disney Experience app and discovering which Disney surprise has been added after the fact.
