New race and new name for Avengers Half Marathon Weekend at Disneyland

runDisney has announced some changes to this November’s Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend, including a new name and a new race.

The newly coined Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend will take place November 10-13, 2016 at the Disneyland Resort.

The slate of races has also expanded, adding the new Dr. Strange 10K and the Infinity Gauntlet Challenge, where runners must complete both the half marathon and the 10K.

Also, in celebration of the First Avenger’s 75th anniversary, the 5K race is now the Captain America 5K, with a theme inspired by vintage style artwork.

The half marathon remains the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon.

General registration for the Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend begins April 12, 2016, with early registration for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members beginning a week earlier.
