Just in time for Florida’s summer heat and rain, there’s a new location to take a break in the shade at Disney World! Zanzibar Trading Co. is located in Adventureland next to the Aladdin and Jasmin meet-and-greet location and across from The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Once a merchandise location, this space has been converted into a covered seating area with the option to buy ice cream bars, candied nuts, popcorn, and bottled drinks. While it may not be an exciting snack destination, it offers much-welcomed seating to enjoy a Dole Whip from the nearby Aloha Isle.
Right now, the snack options include cinnamon-glazed almonds, the full line-up of ice cream bars, popcorn available in the Walt Disney World souvenir bucket, cotton candy, and bottled drinks.
The seating area has about a dozen tables and chairs plus this alcove with a familiar Genie lamp!
It might be asking for too much but I think they need to add an East Coast Bengal Barbecue next! The seating area reminds me of Disneyland’s Adventureland. But for now, enjoy a new way to relax with your coveted Dole Whip or Citrus Swirl!
