Many Walt Disney World guests plan their vacation under the strategy of “come for the food — stay for the attractions.” It seems Disney is paying attention, as this February will see the debut of a Magic Kingdom VIP tour centered around the culinary offerings of the resort’s flagship park.
Bookings are now available for dates as early as February 24th, 2019 for the Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour. Tickets run at $99 per person; this is a separately ticketed tour, so guests will still need to purchase admission to the Magic Kingdom. Tour dates are currently available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The Taste of Magic Kingdom VIP Tour lasts a total of 3 hours, during which Disney has crammed in plenty of culinary experiences and entertainment. Guests will be treated to insight about Disney food history, meet chefs and cast members, help test new dishes that could find their way into the parks, and of course, indulge in plenty of tastings — all under the direction of a VIP Guide who will ensure that they get a top-notch experience.
Here is how Disney explains it:

This is an outdoor walking tour, so guests should keep that in mind. Additionally, as it is based around park cuisine, Disney does mention that “Menu selections are designed to appeal to a wide variety of dietary preferences and restrictions, however, modifications and substitutions for individual offerings cannot be accommodated.” Disney Dining Plan entitlements may not be used for this tour.
