It appears that Rix Sports Bar & Grill has soft-opened in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World.
The update to Rix Lounge, which will now accept reservations, has begun serving both lunch and dinner. Reservations are currently being accepted for June 2nd and beyond.
The appetizer menu features Lobster Sliders [$18.00] served on Parker House rolls, Veggie Lettuce Wraps [$12.00], and Watchos [$12.00]…crispy waffle fries loaded with queso, blanco, bacon, and scallions.
Short Rib Chili [$8.00], Corn Chowder [$7.00], and two different salads are available. In addition to the Wedge Salad [$10.00], Rix Salad [$9.00] features artisanal blend greens tossed in a honey-orange vinaigrette with roasted beets, tomato, cucumber, and goat cheese.
Rix will offer several sandwiches, including Rix Grilled Cheese [$14.00], a Turkey and Brie Sandwich [$14.00], and the Rix Mahi Reuben [$16.49], which features pastrami-seasoned mahi and beer-braised sauerkraut. All sandwiches are served with a choice of waffle fries, sweet potato fries, green apple-cabbage slaw, or beets and goat cheese.
For something more substantial, Rix offers 15 Spiced BBQ Ribs [$28.00], New York Strip [$32.00], or Ale-battered Fish & Chips [$18.00].
Desserts include Key Lime Pie [$7.45] or a Dark Chocolate Chocolate Cake [$7.95].
