SeaWorld announced a new food initiative in March at the same time they ended killer-whale breeding at their parks. More details have now been released about what changes park guests will see in the food.
By the end of 2017, only eggs from cage-free chickens will be used. By the end of this year, all pork served will come from “suppliers with a commitment to humane farming practices.” Produce will be sourced from local farms when possible and any seafood will come from sustainably managed fisheries.
These changes affect all parks owned by SeaWorld Entertainment, which also includes Busch Gardens and Sesame Place.
