SeaWorld Orlando’s Dolphin Cove is closing for repairs, only a couple of months after opening. The remodeled dolphin habitat opened in February, and offers guests the chance to touch the animals and get photos with them for a fee. The area closed just a couple of weeks later because the pool’s coating wasn’t adhering as it should. The issue is still happening, so the area is closing again. The dolphins will be moved while work is being completed.
Becca Bides, SeaWorld spokeswoman, said, “We are committed in every respect to the health and well-being of our animals and, while the coating poses no health risks, we want to assure that it is functioning properly.”
