UPDATE 1:30 pm Eastern: A Tornado Watch has been issued for the area surrounding the Walt Disney World Resort. The counties included are Orange, Osceola, and Seminole. The Tornado Watch is extended until 3:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time.
According to official weather reports, a strong to severe line of storms will move across Central Florida on Thursday. The storms could bring damaging wind gusts upwards of 60 mph.
If you’ll be out in the theme parks today, we recommend packing your ponchos, small umbrellas, and even a change of socks and shoes in your backpacks. There’s nothing worse than being stuck walking around with soaking wet socks and shoes on your feet.
As always, if you are heading to the Walt Disney World and Central Florida area today, be sure to check with your airline for any delays and/or cancellations.
