Six-Year-Old Boy Donates Vacation Savings to Hurricane Evacuees Gets Birthday Disney Trip

Six-year-old Jermaine Bell of Jacksonville spent over a year saving up for a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort for his 7th birthday. As it did with many other vacation planners, Hurricane Dorian changed Jermaine’s plans in a big way which resulted in this young man’s selfless act of compassion.

As the hurricane was approaching the South Carolina coast, Jermaine made the decision to use his savings to purchase hundreds of hot dogs, bags of chips and bottled water. He served hurricane evacuees free of charge as they passed through a South Carolina town where he was visiting his grandmother.

On Sunday, September 8 was Jermaine’s seventh birthday and during the celebration, Mickey Mouse and a group of Walt Disney World cast members made a surprise visit to his birthday party and Jermaine and his family were presented with a VIP vacation to Walt Disney World that will be redeemed later this month.
