Sosa Family Cigars is located in Disney Springs on the West Side and was formerly part of Pleasure Island under a different name, Fuego by Sosa. This shop is right next to Salt & Straw and sits across from the food trucks and the new restaurant being built, Summer House on the Lake. The cigar shop is closing today, January 2nd, 2022, after having a relationship with Disney for 25 years.
This is a busy area since it leads to the movie theater and other fun experiences that are unique to the section. This store sits in a perfect spot, making it a prime location for something new. Disney hasn’t announced what will be moving into the space, but hopefully, it’s something fun and different.
This is how Disney describes the cigar shop on the Disney Springs website.
Recognized as one of the country’s leading retailers, Sosa’s family-run shop stocks over 80 acclaimed cigar brands—including hard-to-find Opus X and Fuente Hemingway—and has been in the industry for over 70 years! Wall-to-wall cigars are kept fresh at the perfect temperature in this solid cedar humidor room, which also showcases the fine art of hand-rolling long-leaf cigars.
A must-stop for connoisseurs, the shop features an intimate smoking area and carries a variety of boxes, tobacco and accessories for a premium experience.

Arby Sosa spoke with Halfwheel, a cigar blog, and shed some light on the closure and the family business.
“Honestly, it was just time,” said Arby Sosa in a message to halfwheel. “We had an amazing run of over 25 years. The last two years were the best two years when it came to sales. We are thankful for Disney having my family as a tenant for over a quarter of a century.”

As I mentioned above, we don’t know what will replace Sosa Family Cigars, but what would you like to see in this spot? Do you want to see a new food spot, store, or snack shop? Let us know what you’d like to see!
Hi, I'm Erica, and I write about all things Disney. Before working for The DIS, I was a theme park performer at SeaWorld, but I also performed at Disney. I have such an immense love for theme parks to the point I studied them in college.
