The Disney Afternoon Collection Brings Classic Games to Nintendo Switch

Disney fans who grew up in the 1990s are about to take a trip straight back to after-school gaming days. The Disney Afternoon Collection is officially heading to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, with a digital release set for February 26, 2026. Physical copies will follow at a later date.

The collection brings together classic video games inspired by The Disney Afternoon. Back in the day, this popular programming block featured animated series like DuckTales, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, and TaleSpin. For many fans, these games are closely tied to memories of racing home from school to catch their favorite shows, then grabbing a controller to keep the fun going.

Originally released by Capcom in the late 1980s and early 1990s, these games were later re-released on other platforms by developer Digital Eclipse. Now, the full collection is finally making its way to Nintendo consoles.

The Disney Afternoon Collection includes eight games in total. Six of them are classic Nintendo Entertainment System titles: DuckTales, DuckTales 2, Chip โ€˜n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, Darkwing Duck, and TaleSpin. Two Super Nintendo games, Goof Troop and Bonkers, are also included and are exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of the collection.

But the release offers more than just the games themselves.
