Walt Disney World is Offering 30% Savings at Resort Hotels This Summer

The Walt Disney World Resort seems to be hitting 2019 running, with two new offers released surprisingly early in the year. Not only have they announced their 2019 Free Dining Promotion — an unexpected move, and highly unusual for the resort to do so in January — but they are also promoting discount rates on select nights for rooms at their resort hotels as part of their Sun & Fun offer.

It is standard for Disney to release discounted room rates whenever they offer a Free Dining promotion, but neither the dining offer nor the resort hotel deal were expected to be announced so early. The timing of this release could have to do with Walt Disney World trying to avoid low summer attendance, as many potential guests might be waiting to book vacations until the opening of Star War: Galaxy’s Edge, which will be debuting in Hollywood Studios later in the fall.

As is always the case, if the idea of Free Dining seems enticing, make sure to check out all available room offers. The dining deal is offered with standard room rates, so depending on your party and what their needs are, it may be cheaper to book a discounted room instead.
