Rumor: Walt Disney World’s Housekeeping is going to be reorganized

According to WDWNT, the latest rumor swirling around Walt Disney World is that the resort wants to reorganize the way housekeeping operates. When the Four Seasons resort opened in 2014 it raised the level of the service that guests were expecting on Disney property, especially at the Deluxe Resorts.

Some guests believe that there has been a decline in the quality of housekeeping on Disney property in recent years. So if the rumors are true Disney is making changes to fix that. In the near future Disney is planning on “a large increase in the number of housekeeping Cast Members across the property, including the hiring of dozens of new managers across all of the hotels.” This increase in staff will allow housekeeping to introduce the dispatch system that has been tested by the custodial staff in Tomorrowland. This system tracks the cast members by an iPhone, and will send them to their next work location that needs to be cleaned. The system will help “dispatch housekeepers to get rooms cleaned more efficiently for the day’s arrivals.”

In addition to reorganizing the housekeeping staff internally, WDWNT.com also states that Walt Disney World might be using a third party company to help retrain the housekeeping cast members to teach them the “current industry standards and trends.”
