Marvel Studios’ X-Men reboot is currently in production and set to release on May 5, 2028. While some of the cast has been anticipated because of their roles in other Marvel films, we got an exciting cast line-up at the D23 Entertainment Showcase!
Sadie Sink will play Jean Gray which most fans already knew because of her character’s appearance in Spider- Man: Brand New Day. Christopher Abbott will play Professor Charles Xavier, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarette (breakout star from horror film, Obsession) as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Kit Connor as Cyclops. Most exciting of all, Adam Driver will be trading Star Wars for Marvel when he plays the anticipated role of Mr. Sinister. Adam Driver has been rumored to star in the MCU but many fans expected he would play Cyclops, not knowing if Mr. Sinnister would be part of the new X-Men film.
There were so many actors rumored for this MCU reboot and honestly, it’s a fresh take with a wide-range of actors. Jake Schreier will direct – Marvel fans will recognize him as the director of Marvel’s Thunderbolts. Kevin Feige was on stage for the announcement and said many of the cast met for the first time while backstage at D23. With the film coming out in less than 2 years, the expectations are already high for this new age of Marvel films.
