The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic has named Wounded Warrior Project as the charitable beneficiary for its 15th annual event, which will take place during National Veterans and Military Families Month on Friday, November 15, and Saturday, November 16. The nonprofit organization will receive a monetary donation from event proceeds.
Founded in 2003, Wounded Warrior Project, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, helps veterans who served in the military on or after September 11, 2001, and incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound during or after service. The nonprofit’s free programs and services include mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care. The organization will also be represented at the event, offering thousands of attendees an opportunity to learn more about its worthy cause.
Giving back is an important part of our mission at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and as a veteran myself, Wounded Warrior Project is a cause that’s particularly special to me. We’re humbled to partner with this truly life-changing organization for this landmark year of our Food & Wine Classic.
