Writer, Director Ryan Coogler Set to Return for ‘Black Panther’ Sequel

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that writer and director Ryan Coogler will be back for the upcoming sequel to the recording breaking hit Black Panther.

Production on the film will likely start in late 2019 or early 2020, based on when a script can be finalized. Star Chadwick Boseman and the rest of the ensemble cast are expected to return.

The original film brought in $1.3 billion globally, including $700 million domestically, the highest figure ever for any Marvel film.

Marvel has made to comment about Coogler’s return and no release date has been set.
